Still considered one of the most popular breed of dogs today. This happy dog when needed can have great speed and endurance...especially doing what he loves best...hunting. Still an active sporting dog, when trained correctly, he makes a wonderful retriever and is good at flushing game.
This well built and balanced dog, like all hunting dogs, needs daily exercise, brushing, and regular bathing. He also requires a trim to his long coat every few months to remove mats, and debris.
Cockers come in two categories American, and English...the English being larger with a longer muzzle, and the American being smaller and with a shorter muzzle.
